Good News! The Conclave registration fee has been reduced to the original early bird fee! $47 for ALL members up to the start of Conclave on September 24th.

Online Registration will close on the 20th of September, so if you want to register after that, be sure to download the flier and bring it with you to Conclave

Registration for the 2010 W4N Conclave is now up and running! It's easy to do! Just click on the big Orange button to your right, or check out the "Conclave 2010" page from the top menu to select the registration link from there. There will be a list of classes updated shortly on the information page.

Registration is $47 for early bird registrants (discount will be applied at checkout prior to 8/1/2010), $57 for regular registrants, and $35 for all new Ordeal members who completed their Ordeal in or after September 2009.

Also, there will be a patch auction at the Conclave in two weeks. Have a box of old patches? Want to create more space in your closet? Please bring by some patches and donate them to the cause. What you think is worth nothing might just be worth something (and there might be a special patch available)!

With the wildfires raging in the nearby mountains, it is unfathomable to think of the physical toll of the brave firefighters battling the flames in this heat.

As we have in the past, the Southern California Scouts and Leaders stand ready to assist in anyway necessary. To this relief effort we are using the Verdugo Hills Council parking lot as a collection point for our Scout families to bring gifts of fluid replenishment drinks, hopefully in case quantities, to refresh the fire crews. The following are types of drinks welcome and will be transported in bulk to the command center, where fire crews are camped out, getting much needed rest for their next shift:

Gatorade/Powerade type drinks, Bottled Water and Soft Drinks

Spanning from August 1st to August 6th, the National Order of the Arrow Conference for 2009 was held at Indiana University. Monday, the 3rd of August, the section met after the Native American show. We gathered for fun, fellowship, and most importantly, free ice cream! Western Region Chief Dave Harrell joined us for this jubilant event!

Spirits are high as we head into the last 1 and a half months until Conclave! Everybody had a blast! Lets keep it going, W4N!

There will be a Section W4N gathering at NOAC. The gathering will take place Monday night following the Native American Theme show. Location will be updated shortly.

Introducing our new Vice Chief, Charles Pickering.

Charles hails from Siwinis Lodge where his is a Vigil Honor Member. Among other positions, Charles has served as Lodge Chief, Chapter Chief, Vigil Chief and has coordinated various events and fundraisers. Charles has spent time with the section assistance team and is this years Training Conclave Vice Chief. Charles is a senior at the Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies. Please welcome us as he wraps up the year as we head into conclave this September!
